VW panda

Had a minor service done. Already purchased the required bits. He arrived done the work, and gave me advice on cheaper alternatives for possible other work. Honest guy

Simple fox

Was told about this mechanic. Messaged about changing speakers in my doors. I had already been quoted £80 (which i didn't tell him) by other garages, had a message back with a very fair quote saved me a fair bit. He done a pro job and I watched him do the work. Very professional. Will be using him to do more work.

Vauxhall

Had a full service.

During the service he showed me that I had a broken oil breather pipe connected to the air flow pipe to the carb. Said he can order new or he can do a repair ( repair at no added cost and he said he would fit new pipe at no charge later if needs be)

Cant fault the guy quality workman ship. Went beyond to help me. And the final bill was cheaper than others have quoted me

Had trouble with a grinding noise when going round corners. Friend gave me website and his number. Wrote what was wrong he replied within minutes. Came over took it on a quick test drive and told me what was wrong. He directed me where to get the part (and not main dealer) worked out alot cheaper got the part he told me how much to fit booked in 2 days later job done grinding noise gone and he even showed me the part that was making the noise.

Audi

Had a bad vibration while driving. Gave this guy a call he came round took car for a drive 5mins came back looked in the drivers wheel arch and told me the problem. He then went online to find the part and showed me the various prices. He then rang another motorfacrors and got the part for me even cheaper. He really did go above and beyond. Cant fault the guy and to fit it was really good deal alot cheaper than the garages i have used in the past.

Automatic

Car wouldn't start called him out. Opened the bonnet and in 10 seconds told me not to try to start again he showed me that my "crank and timing pulley" has come off and that the timing will need to be done and added worst case is that the head will have to come off and have new valves. He quoted my a price to have the pulley put back on and timed. Haven't had it done yet but have range around and so far he's the one il be using.

Leon car

Had trouble with driver side passanger window switch, called told me the issue ordered part booked in arrived on time. Replaced window switch and done a pro job. And bet part it was virtually half the price of other garages I called for a quote.

Will use again 5 star mechanic

Ford guy

Was recommended by a friend. My Ford escort van (yes it's old) had misfire issue. Messaged via this site within 20mins had a call back told him the symptoms over the phone, said he would need to come and physically see and hear the issue. Within the hour he arrived he I paid the call out fee (only £20) he looked and unplugged 'HT and LT LEADS' told me he could cure the issue told me the price for parts and labour which I found more than reasonable also he deducted the £20 from the final total. Well impressed with the service and a real genuine guy.

Will keep him in mind when friends and family need a mechanic.
